The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Natural Resources/Wildlife Division is recruiting for: CONSERVATION PLANNER I [HR-21-107] (Part-Time/Lapwai). This part-time position is 20-29 hrs./week. This is a two (2) year position assisting the Nez Perce Tribe’s Wildlife Division complete a California condor management plan. Primary duties are to refine an ecological assessment of California condor habitat within the greater Hells Canyon ecosystem, Page 13 of 17 identify potential release sites, collaborate with area partners to develop a management plan, write reports, and conduct outreach and education efforts. The position may at times be field intensive and involve working long hours in steep terrain, with a variable work schedule. Requires a bachelor’s degree in related field. Related field and/or course work requirements defined in job expectations. Experience does not substitute for education. Technical experience in related field preferred; demonstrated leadership experience preferred. Class/job description available at the NPT Human Resources Department.
